A smorgasbord of practical ideas
Delicious Ideas for Hungry Hearts was the theme of the Australian Association for Religious Education (AARE) seminar hosted by St Hilda’s School recently.
The seminar focused on prayer ideas for individuals and groups and was attended by staff of Anglican, Roman Catholic and Lutheran schools throughout Southeast Queensland; representing St Hilda’s School was RE teacher Miss Bev Philben.
A smorgasbord of practical prayer ideas for personal use, in classes and assemblies were presented:
- Hands on Prayer
- Prayer in the Stillness
- Prayer in the Digital Age
- Prayer for Assemblies/Chapels.
“The seminar was practical with many hands-on-experiences during the four hours,” said Miss Philben.
The 23rd Biennial National AARE Conference will be held at Melbourne Grammar School from 28 September.
The topic will be Wind, Fire and Water: Finding God in the 21st Century and New York-based Professor Mary Boys will be a keynote speaker.
