A great weekend was had by all at Play Out last Friday and Saturday. All ensembles made significant progress with the works they are preparing for future performances. Our ensemble’s expertise continues to develop and the final session in which all ensembles performed for each other and combined to rehearse the Gala Concert Finale was a great finish to the event. Many thanks to the staff: Mr Antony Zambolt, Mr Chen Yang, Ms Jenny Sullivan and Mrs Katherine Sergeyev for their assistance in making the weekend so successful. Some video evidence of proceedings is available for all to enjoy with Junior Concert Band playing "We Will Rock You" and Senior Strings "The Blue Danube".

Protecting and Safeguarding Musical Instruments
Parents need to ensure their daughters are constantly reminded of the need to keep musical instruments secure at all times. Instruments should be locked away at School and not left in any non-secure area. Middle and Senior School students have access to a storage room in Senior Music; instruments should not be left on port racks outside. Junior School students up to Year 5 should keep their instruments on the internal port racks classrooms, whilst Year 6s should place them in the class storeroom.
Please note the brand, model and serial number of instruments brought to School and ensure home insurance policies are checked so that personal musical instruments are protected outside the home. This will hopefully prevent significant heartache and unnecessary expense from an unfortunate mishap.
Ensemble Rehearsal Times
By the end of this week, all Choirs and Instrumental Ensembles will have commenced their rehearsals. The times and days for rehearsals are noted below. It is never too late to join a music ensemble, so please encourage you daughter to attend.
