What better way to celebrate the centenary year of St Hilda's School than a musical that looks back 100 years, to a time where petticoats were the latest fashion, horse and carts were the transport of choice and ice-cream was churned by hand?

This was the delightful world of Anne of Green Gables, the musical starring a feisty but kind-hearted girl, whose lifelong sorrows of red hair and freckles paled in comparison to the joy she brought so many. With spectacular performances, enchanting musical numbers, amazing costumes and an imaginative set, this year’s musical, staged over three performances at the Arts Centre Gold Coast on 27 and 28 April 2012, was a thrilling event for all involved and all who attended.
