ANDREWS CUP/JUNIOR SPORT
Andrews Cup Information
St Hilda’s is one of ten schools that make up the Andrews Cup Association and the School has a long history of participation, contribution and success in the Competition. During the course of the year, the students in Years 3 to 7 (8 year olds in Year 2 can also be considered for some events) can compete in up to eight sports where trophies, pennants and ribbons are awarded to the top three schools at each event. St Hilda’s hosts the annual Andrews Cup Athletics Competition at QSAC in Brisbane and it is always an exciting day where our girls can display their school spirit and contribute to the success of the team.

Junior School Inter-House Information
To the coaches, Brett Fox and Mel Lilley, thank-you for all that you have done to develop our Junior Touch Teams. You have all done a fantastic job.
A big "Thank You" must go to Jane Shrubshall who is our Junior School Netball Coordinator. Jane puts in an enormous amount of time and effort with our netball program in the Junior School and has been a major factor in the implementation of Saturday Club Netball, as well as numerous other netball competitions for Junior School students. Her work in all areas has been invaluable!
Finally, to all the parents who joined the girls at training sessions, Saturday mornings, holiday competitions and who were there to support and cheer them on at the carnival, thank you.
ANDREWS CUP CROSS COUNTRY 2013
The St Hilda’s Andrews Cup Swim Team are the 2013 Andrews Cup Swimming Champions.
On Tuesday 12 March a team of 41 girls from years 2-7 travelled to Brisbane to compete at the Andrews Cup Swimming Carnival.
These girls were selected from a training squad that had a combination of girls who had been training since Term 4 2012 as well as girls who had been included during Term 1 this year.
Throughout the swimming season the girls have trained hard under the guidance of our swim coaches, Bill, Morris, Erin and Luke as well as staff members Raechel Alback and Melanie Driscoll. They have also competed in lead up meets in Brisbane, as well as our own Inter House carnival, in order to perform as well as they could at the main event, the Andrews Cup Swimming Carnival.
The entire team performed remarkably throughout the entire day of competition to achieve some outstanding results. In total the St Hilda’s swimmers broke 19 Andrews Cup records during the event.
Our 8 Years girls finished 1st overall, 9 Years finished 2nd, 10 years finished 1st , 11 years finished 4th and the 12 years finished 2nd.
