News
The third round of the Queensland Intercollegiate Golf was held at Royal Pines International Golf Course on Monday 28 July 2008. St Hilda’s School was represented by Taylah Gabriel (5N), Alexandra Marlborough (7J) and Taryn Williams (8M). Withstanding the blistering-cold conditions, all girls performed exceptionally well displaying the etiquette and good sportsmanship expected of St Hilda’s students. Alexandra and Taryn played to their AGU handicaps and Taylah exceeded all expectations by securing the prestigious ‘closest-to-the-pin’ on the fifth hole.
The next round is the final round for 2008 and will take place on Monday 27 October 2008 at Southport Golf Club. The day’s play will be followed by a formal presentation luncheon for competitors where all students are expected to be in formal school attire including blazers.
With much of the team unable to play at Royal Pines, a full team is expected to represent the school at Southport in October.
