Welcome back to all Pre-Prep students and families. I hope you have enjoyed the holidays. This term we welcome the following students and their families into Pre-Prep:
UNIFORM REQUIREMENTS FOR TERM 4
Parents are reminded of changes to uniform for Pre-Prep students in Term 4 including:
TRANSITION TO PREP
This term there are a number of activities which Pre-Prep will undertake to begin the transition to Prep. The Pre-Prep classes will join Prep – Year 2 students in their Chapel and Assemblies. This will give the girls the experience of attending these events, experiencing new parts of the School and being part of a bigger group of students.
Each class will regularly visit the Prep classrooms and participate in activities with the Prep girls and staff. They will also have the opportunity to eat in the Prep – Year 2 eating areas and have an orientation to the Prep and Year 1 Playground.
On November 18, all children in Pre-Prep and Junior School will spend the morning in their class for 2020. Girls will need to arrive at Pre-Prep by 8.20am on this day.
There are many things parents can do to assist in the smooth transition to school:
Further information regarding purchasing uniforms and book packs will be communicated to parents early this term.
STUDENT FREE DAY – 21 OCTOBER
St Hilda’s School Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) will be operating their Vacation Care Program on the Student Free Day on 21 October. Families requiring care on this day for their children in Pre-Prep – Year 6 are required to make a booking by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
PREPARATIONS FOR 2020
Families with daughters wishing to commence at St Hilda’s Pre-Prep in 2020 are strongly encouraged to ensure they have submitted an application for enrolment to ensure availability of a place for next year.
Should your daughter not be continuing as a student in 2020, parents are reminded that it is a condition of enrolment that one term’s notice must be given in writing to the School. We commit resources on the basis of confirmed enrolment numbers, and termination of an enrolment without notice denies another student the opportunity of a place. If you have any questions in this regard, please do not hesitate to contact our Head of Admissions on email@example.com or 07 5577 7232.
