Congratulations to our Kiera Gazzard (Year 11) on her election to the Australian Synchronised Swimming National Team Captain position. Kiera manages to overcome the challenges of balancing school, training camps and competitions and continues to support and motivate her teammates. Kiera has started the 2018 season with great success by winning five Gold Medals at the Australian Nationals, representing Australia in the duet section at the FINA World Series in Japan and America Open. Kiera is currently training to compete in the 2018 Junior World Championships in Budapest in July where she will compete in Free Duet, Tech Solo and Free Team Events. Congratulations to Kiera and all the best for the upcoming competition.

Congratulations to Sienna McMah (Year 7) and Emma De Fazio (Year 8) on representing Queensland in the Border Challenge held on the Sunshine Coast in the recent holiday break. Their Level 7 Team were very competitive in a field that included teams from NSW and Victoria.

Sienna and Emma, along with Lily Beaver (Year 7) competed in the State Club Championships on the Sunshine Coast in the holidays in the Level 7 competition. Their team placed 8th overall and earned a bronze medal on Beam. Jessica Cleverly (Year 7) and Nikki McMenamin (Year 11) competed in the Level 8 – 10 section of the competition and their team placed 9th. Well done on your efforts, girls!
