St Hilda’s School is committed to providing support for those girls who are pursuing their dreams of elite sport, cultural endeavours or innovative programs. We work with families to offer flexibility and support to students (Years 4 – 12) whilst ensuring that they remain connected to their education and the St Hilda’s School community throughout their schooling years.

Athena Offers:

  • Consultation with parents/carers to assess your daughter’s unique schooling needs
  • Personalised learning plans developed to make schooling sustainable
  • Additional pastoral care and support provided to Athena students
  • Ongoing collaboration and flexibility for families, to ensure curriculum delivery and schooling commitments are balanced and accessible

Applications for the Athena Program 2022 are now being taken. Students and parents wishing to apply are encouraged to read the Selection Criteria prior to submitting the Application Form (available on the School website), including supporting documentation, to myself via email

The Queensland Swimming State Championships were held in December at Chandler and we congratulate all athletes who qualified for the event. A special mention to the following girls on their outstanding results:

Holly Warn (Year 7) – 3rd 100m Multi-class Backstroke

Tribeca Liu (Year 8) – 1st 50m Freestyle, 1st 100m Freestyle, 1st 200m Individual Medley, 2nd 200m Backstroke, 2nd 50m Backstroke, 3rd 200m Freestyle, 1st 50m Butterfly, 1st 400m Freestyle, 1st 100m Backstroke

Cyra Bender (Year 11) – 1st 16 Years 200m Medley Relay, 2nd 16 Years 200m Freestyle Relay, 3rd 16 years 50m Backstroke

Tylah Crabtree (Year 11) – 2nd 50m Breaststroke

Collette Lyons (Year 11) – 3rd 200m Butterfly, 3rd 400m Individual Medley

Ava Brickley (Year 12) – 2nd 200m Backstroke, 200m Backstroke, 3rd 200m Open Backstroke

Lucinda Macleod (Year 12) – 1st 800m Freestyle, 3rd 200m Freestyle


Congratulations to Ava Robbins (Year 6) on her outstanding performances at the AusCycling Junior State Track Cycling Championships in December last year. At the Anna Meares Velodrome in Brisbane, Ava was crowned state champion in the Flying 200m, 500m Time Trial, in a new Queensland State record of 42.077 and Scratch Race. Well done Ava!


Congratulations to Jaz Ingall (Year 12) on her result at the recent Queensland Rowing Championships. Jaz’s results were:

1st – Women’s Lightweight Double Scull
4th – Women’s Under 19 Double Scull

Jaz was also selected for the 2022 Queensland School girls Pathways Eight Squad and will be involved in additional training camps and competitions throughout the year. We wish Jaz all the best at the NSW State Championship Regatta coming up later in the month.
