From the President of the Supporters of Creative Arts (SOCA) group:
It’s so lovely to see so many girls involved in the arts at St Hilda’s, whether Music, Fine Arts or Drama. If there is one gift I could personally give all humans it would be the gift of the Arts.
I write to introduce myself and to invite you to come and join the Supporters of Creative Arts (SOCA) group this year. The group is looking for more parents to come and share, connect and help create magical moments for our girls.
This year I have taken on the role of President with Seema Chauhan as Vice President, Sally Fill as Secretary and Steven Dewhurst as Treasurer. St Hilda’s values the importance the Arts play in education. The aim of SOCA is to support our girls in their creative pursuits through the purchasing of instruments/equipment and the opportunity to showcase their talents. Furthermore, there are some interesting potential projects and ideas being considered which we are involved in conceiving.
Like all volunteer groups, the more people involved the better the ideas and, also, the more people power to implement those ideas. So, we would really like you to be involved in SOCA! Please come to our next meeting at 6:30pm Wednesday 15 May in the Great Hall.
