The Rowing season is well underway and St Hilda’s rowing squad has so far attended three regattas. We have shown great depth in the Quads, taking out the divisions at every regatta thus far. This is setting St Hilda’s up for a good showing in the Aggregate Trophy.
The Aggregate Trophy is awarded to the school with the most ‘points’ collected from all point scoring races from Years 8 to 12. St Hilda’s has not yet won the Trophy in our 100+ year rowing history. Although it will be an extremely tough competition, we press forward with the belief that we are in with a chance. The Open Crews are starting to build up momentum as they drive toward the finish line. Overall, we are happy with our progress and start our hard block of training before tapering off for the Head of the River.
We watch with anticipation this weekend to see how the final ‘practice regatta’ goes before the Head of the River, held at Wyaralong Dam on Saturday 31 August. We invite you all to join us for the final two regattas of the 2019 BSRA Season.
