St Hilda’s School Ball – Celebrating 100 Years of the Old Girls’ Association
On Saturday 13 August, we welcomed our Community past and present to join us in celebrating 100 years of our Old Girls’ Association. St Hilda’s Old Girls came from far and wide from the 1960s, 70s, 80s, 90s and the new recruits from 2014 all wore their formal dresses!
Generously presented by Gullotta Orthodontics, we held a lively night with a spectacular performance from St Hilda’s Old Girl Sabrina Durante fresh from performing at the Ekka, indoor fireworks from The Layt Clinic, red and blue stilt walkers, mini cent auction – they put their tickets into the school bag to win! Fabulous Emma Gale artwork, “Are you Lonely Tonight” (Elvis) was donated for auction by Old Girl, Anthea Polson of Anthea Polson Art, Tedder Avenue, Main Beach. In addition, we also auctioned Birkbecks Jewellers’ exquisite earrings from the Ford Family – one of our oldest families and current 4th generation at St Hilda’s.
We danced until we could no more, wore old school hats and berets on the dance floor and celebrated in style. Thank you everyone for joining us!
