St Hilda’s musicians have been out in force in the first two weeks of Term 4 at the following events:

  • Two Twilight Concerts in Langford Theatre which saw the Year 12 Music Extension students present their final performances and many other get-in -practice performances for upcoming AMEB or Trinity College exams – see the video to see what you missed out on!
  • 16 Strings String Quartet and the Violin Quartet providing entertainment at the opening of the Art Show on Friday 7 October.
  • Big Band rehearsing with TSS Big Band and then producing a stunning combined performance at the Fete.
  • Senior String Ensemble combining with Qld Youth Orchestra Junior Strings to produce some beautiful music at the Art Show on Fete Day.
  • Junior Concert Band, Middle/Senior Concert Band and Rhythm & Blues Band along with Libby Gunther, Anne-Marie Behn-Katz, Nicole Hoskins, Bella Paton, Daisy Gray and Claire Walker also providing some entertaining performances at the Fete.
  • Years 4- 12 Choir members performing the beautiful “There Is Peace” at the St Hilda’s Day Service.
  • Middle/Senior Concert Band receiving a Silver Award and Senior Choir and Senza Ragazzi receiving Gold Awards for their Music Fest performances at Iona College in Brisbane last week.
