St Hilda’s Foundation Experiential Opportunities

During the holidays several of the experiential opportunity recipients gained experience and exposure during their week at our various partnerships.

Pippa Hemming and Jemima Vaurasi attended Triple Eight Engineering and were lucky enough to spend a few days at QLD Raceway where they were able to do a ‘hot lap’ and were also fortunate to do an article for Supercars.com.

Kenina Murtagh attended her second week with Gold Coast Suns and Kate Worboys had her first week. Both students gained exposure in the fields of commercial business, fundraising, event, sport management and got to see very exciting games!

Amelia Salmon and Yvette Willemsen gained a lot from their experience at NewsCorp and were involved in research for a section in the Queensland Weekender. Poppy-Jane Todd had her final week with NewsCorp and had two articles published, one in the Gold Coast Bulletin and one in The Courier Mail.

All students thoroughly enjoyed their time in their chosen area/industry of interest.

St Hilda’s Foundation Business Luncheon

The St Hilda’s Foundation Business Luncheon has consistently delivered outstanding guest speakers and this year is no exception. Please join us for this inspiring lunch with Olympic Gold Medallist Steven Bradbury, Ingrid Bonnor – founder of Homebodii and Professor Nick James – Executive Dean of the Faculty of Law at Bond University.
