Welcome to Term 3!
Global Learning in Term 3 has hit the ground running with 14 exchange students on campus visiting from England, Scotland and America! Welcome girls, we hope you enjoy your time here at St Hilda’s and create long lasting friendships and memories.
I do encourage all St Hilda’s girls to seek out our Exchange Students to say hello and give the girls a very warm St Hilda’s welcome.
In August our Japanese Sister School Mukogawa will be visiting us. Our St Hilda’s girls will have the opportunity to share their Japanese classes with visiting students, and Pre-Prep, Prep, and Years 1 and 2 will have the opportunity to learn some origami, calligraphy and Japanese songs.
On Monday 16 July, Dr Wilson Reynolds, Miss Alexa Wood and I launched the 2019 Exchange Program to the current Year 9 students. This is an exciting time for our Year 9 girls as they prepare to commence a very rigorous application process, hoping to take part in one of the largest Exchange Programs in the country. Applications will be live on the website tomorrow (Friday 27 July) and girls will be invited to apply via email.
We look forward to an exciting and busy term in Global Learning and look forward to sharing pictures of our visiting students and hearing stories from our girls who depart for England, America, Scotland and South Africa later this term.
