Junior School French and Japanese Speech Competition 2018
After weeks of preparation, the Finals of the French and Japanese Speech Competition were held on the afternoon of Thursday 14 June.
Six nervous finalists in the Year 5 section of French presented wonderful speeches about their families and a location that they would like to visit in France. The more experienced Year 6 students provided greater depth in their descriptions of the family and their likes and dislikes.
The Year 6 students of Japanese provided a self-introduction that also included information about a pet.
All participants had to respond to a series of questions posed by our senior language students.
In-spite of their ages, the students spoke and responded with confidence in front of an enthusiastic audience. All participants are to be congratulated on the love of and their application in learning Languages.
The competition was well-organised and ran very smoothly and a big thank you to Mrs Artley for her dedication and organisation.
