It’s not what’s on the outside, but what’s on the inside that counts.
The tale of Aladdin has been a much-loved and shared story for generations. In the hands of Disney, Aladdin continues to reach new audiences as a hit on Broadway, a multi-award winning animated classic film, and most recently, a live-action feature film released only weeks ago.
The story of a lowly street urchin who dreams of a life beyond his station, a princess who desires the freedom to make her own decisions and a genie who wishes to live life on his own terms, continues to resonate with us, for we all yearn for the opportunity to be free and to realise our dreams. Aladdin reminds us that our true character and worth lies within and that if we continue to aspire towards our dreams, and work hard while remaining true to ourselves, we may reveal our inner magic for all the world to see.
Much like our central characters, the cast, crew and staff of the 2019 Junior School Musical have worked with joy, tenacity and enthusiasm; earnestly polishing the lamp to release their inner magic to bring this wonderful production to life. We are very proud to have had the opportunity to work with this wonderful group of students, watch them grow in confidence, develop skills in performance and make friends and memories that will last a lifetime. We would like to thank all the cast, crew, staff and their families for joining us on this magic carpet ride.
