Ensemble Successes – Gold Coast Eisteddfod

Congratulations to our Choristers and String players across Junior, Middle and Senior Schools who have performed so admirably at the Gold Coast Eisteddfod in recent weeks. All conductors and accompanists were so proud of the girls’ efforts. Thank you to those who came along to see our musicians perform in what we are sure you appreciated was excellent company. The girls really enjoyed their performances and the opportunity to see the stunning work produced by our counterparts in other schools as well.

Individual Successes – Gold Coast, Brisbane, Beenleigh and Murwillumbah Eisteddfods

Many of our talented musicians have also been performing individually as part of not only the Gold Coast Eisteddfod program but also the Brisbane, Beenleigh and Murwillumbah Eisteddfods. Whether they have received an award or not, the self-confidence gained from the experience is very valuable. If there are any individual results that we may not be aware of and are not listed below, please do not hesitate to advise the music department via music@sthildas.qld.edu.au

Flute Masterclass

On Sunday, 4th August our Senior Flute Players had the opportunity to work with Ms Joanna Sullivan in a masterclass environment where they worked on improving not only their individual performance pieces but also their flute technique. Many thanks to Mr Antony Zambolt for organising this event.
