Hello and welcome back to St Hilda’s Music for 2019!

Our musicians have already worked with enthusiasm during Sing Out held on the first weekend of the year, where they had the opportunity to sing together, take part in breathing and vocal workshops with guest clinician Mrs Wendy Rolls, and socialise with new and old friends on their trip to the movies.  All Concert Bands and String Ensembles have also had their first rehearsals as well. What an excellent start to the year!

Extra Subject Music Lessons

All students should receive at least their first lesson during Week 3 (5-9 Feb).  If your daughter has not received a lesson time, please contact Mrs Julie Haines-Gould in Senior Music Administration on 5577 7235.

Parents and students are reminded that even if continuing lessons from last year, all girls must submit a new “Extra Subject – Music” form at the start of each year in order to ensure a lesson time is allocated to them.  Please note that advance payment of fees for each semester is required before lessons can commence. Forms are available from the School Website and should be returned to Mrs Julie Haines-Gould in the Senior School Music Administration in Whitby.

Ensemble Rehearsal Times

By this Thursday 7th February, all Choirs and Instrumental Ensembles (will have commenced their rehearsals.  The times and days for rehearsals are noted below.  To get your daughter involved in music ensembles, please accept the invitation to join music ensembles on Parent Lounge. It is never too late to join a music ensemble, so please encourage your daughter to attend.
