The Southport School Musical – Oliver

Congratulations must go to the 16 girls involved in the cast and 3 girls in the orchestra for the TSS production of Oliver which was presented in The Annand Theatre from 5-7 May. Whether singing their hearts out on stage or performing the magnificent musical score on their instruments in the Orchestra, our girls truly excelled and presented a magical piece of theatre in collaboration with their TSS counterparts. A hearty congratulations to cellist Flora Yang (Year 10) on being selected for and participating in the prestigious Australian Youth Orchestra National Music Camp. The camp ran from 17-25 April in Melbourne and was an intense week of musical experience where she was inspired by tutors, artists and conductors of international standing, and experienced music-making at an elite national level as part of a superb symphony and chamber orchestra. Take a look at a selection of photos of Flora at the event.
