Congratulations to Year 11 students Alexis Cunington and Olivia Wright who have achieved outstanding results and represented St Hilda’s School with pride in the Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron (RQYS) Schools Sailing Regatta.

Yesterday was the final day of competition and the girls finished 21st overall in a field of 43, a remarkable achievement of which the girls were immensely proud. The girls were also surprised and thrilled to be announced as 1st Place Female Racers of the fleet. Alexis and Olivia are the first St Hilda’s sailors to win a Gold Medal at this competition. Well done, girls, on this fantastic result. We look forward to celebrating your achievements at our upcoming Assembly.

The girls raced against strong teams from Lourdes Hill, Moreton Bay College, Brisbane Girls Grammar School and Ormiston College. We also congratulate our Brother School, TSS, who came away with the Gold Medal overall.
