My piece, Speechless Victims, is based on animal rights and animal testing. Over 100 million animals are burned, crippled, poisoned and abused in US laboratories every year. I have always loved animals and so this environmental issue really tugged at my heartstrings. Speechless Victims uses both scale and juxtaposition, which contributes to the overall surrealist look of my piece. In my work, the themes that are evident include; animal rights, justice and sorrow. Let me ask you, if you were a victim of these terrible circumstances would you want to be speechless? Alexandra Frizelle Year 9
