Pathways to Success, Purpose and Post-School Readiness
The senior phase of learning at St Hilda’s School focuses on empowering students in Years 10–12 to shape their own learning journey while working towards their Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE). Some students will also achieve an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) providing them with an internationally recognised university entry rank. The curriculum is designed to offer academic rigour, flexibility, and a clear link to life beyond school. YEARS 10
During Year 10, students are learning in line with the Australian Curriculum (Version 9) Achievement Standards.
In Year 10 all students study the core subjects of:

YEARS 11 and 12
The Years 11–12 curriculum is based on the QCAA Senior Syllabuses and ensuring students meet the state standards in order to achieve their QCE. All assessment tasks are aligned with QCAA assessment objectives, enabling students to demonstrate higher-order thinking and mastery across Units 1–4. Adjustments and support provisions are facilitated through the appropriate Access Arrangements and Reasonable Adjustments (AARA) to ensure equitable access to assessments and learning environments.
Students may pursue:
- General and Applied QCAA subjects
- Vocational Education and Training (VET) qualifications
- Extension courses or university head-start programs
Continuous feedback, moderated assessments, and targeted reporting (including Continuous Academic Reporting and Semester Reports) support each student in achieving academic success and personal excellence.
