The Southport School

St Hilda's School for girls and The Southport School for boys have a unique common background - both are private Anglican schools accommodating boarders and day students - located minutes apart at Southport on the Gold Coast of Queensland.

While the success of both schools reflects the benefits of a separate formal education for boys and girls, both schools acknowledge that social interaction between boys and girls is an essential, enjoyable and a highly beneficial part of their maturation. Following in the Footsteps of the Founder, Horace Henry Dixon, TSS Headmaster Greg Wain undertook a similar outback tour in August 2010.
