Our extensive co-curricular and extra-curricular program offers students a wide variety of activities after school hours.



Music

Instrumental music tuition is offered in a small group or private lessons in the following musical instruments:

  • Years 2 to 12: Strings – Violin, Cello
  • Years 3 to 12: Piano
  • Years 5 to 12: Contemporary Keyboard, Organ, Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Bassoon, Saxophone, Trumpet, French Horn, Trombone, Euphonium, Tuba, Drums/Percussion, Double Bass
  • Years 6 to 12: Guitar, Voice (Singing) and tuition are also available in Music Craft, Theory of Music and Musicianship

Lessons will be scheduled during class time on a rotational basis at varying times each week.



Speech and Drama

Trinity College London is an international examining board offering a variety of examinations in communication and Drama related fields. Students can study a variety of disciplines and subjects such as Speech and Drama, Individual Acting Skills, Performing Arts, Communication Skills and Performing Text. This program aims to:

  • develop effective speech and communication skills
  • build self-confidence and self-esteem
  • encourage an appreciation and love of literature and the Arts
  • provide the student with an opportunity to participate in Drama where she can develop appropriate skills and talents
  • develop the whole person both personally and artistically
  • perform for a stage audience

Classes are available for students from Year 4 through to Year 12. We offer two types of classes: individual and pairs.



Tennis

Pure Tennis Academy’s Junior Tennis Programs teach essential motor skills, which include agility, balance and co-ordination. They provide a range of tennis based activities and fun games, that all help to develop these skills, whilst teaching your child the fundamental aspects of tennis. Programs offered include:

  • Tiny Tennis (Mini Red Ball) - Pre-Prep Only
  • Red Ball - Prep & Year 1
  • Orange Ball - Years 2 to 4
  • Green Ball - Years 5 to 9+

Dance

Gold Coast Dance Program offers Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary and Acrobatics lessons in our Ballet Cabin. GC Dance strives to provide each and every student with a fun environment that promotes focus, discipline and most importantly creativity. Our young and vibrant team of instructors use progressive and classic approaches to teach students the art of dance.



Gymnastics

Research shows that children who participate in motor development classes from an early age develop fundamental movement skills enhancing co-ordination, confidence, thinking skills and independence! Delta Gymnastics offers an extensive program in our fully equipped gymnasium utilising Nationally accredited coaches. Programs offered include:

Co-Curricular Clubs

Co-Curricular Club activities are optional, non-fee paying and are organised and managed by the staff of the Junior School. Participation in Co-Curricular Clubs allows our students to work and play with girls from other form classes and year levels, aiding in the development of social skills.
