Junior, Middle and Senior Schools girls involve themselves in a variety of music activities encompassing performing, composing and analysis of music. More girls are taking on the creative challenge of music composition, with increasing numbers of entries being placed in local, state and national composing competitions.
Girls from Years 2 to 12 are using technology as an integral part of their music learning processes, using software such as Groovy Music, Music Ace, Musition and Auralia to hone their music skills; Sibelius and Jam Trax for composition and even the popular Singstar to improve their vocal performances.
Many opportunities are provided for girls to experience professional music performances, which include excursions to performances in Brisbane and visits to the School by presenters performing a range of programs.
