Careers education is an important part of the successful transition from the schooling sector to higher education or employment. Girls are encouraged to see their career as a journey and not a destination. The Careers Centre staff is available to support students in their endeavour to decide future education or employment pathways as well as support them through the wide variety of alternative study options in Years 11 and 12.

Year 10 Career classes also cover job search skills, including resume writing and interview skills, workplace issues and employer expectations.

Note – Students can gain tertiary entrance using either an OP or QTAC selection rank ,as long as they meet the pre-requisites for their preferred program.
Note – This pathway is only for entrance to Queensland universities with some exceptions. See www.qtac.edu.au for specific details.
In addition, some studies in Music, Drama and other qualifications outside school, can contribute to a QTAC Selection Rank and the Queensland Certificate of Education. For further information on courses of study in Years 11 and 12, please see the Subject Selection guide.
